Your riding adventure begins at the Nelson Ranch
where your guide will match you up with a horse suited to your
riding ability. You will be part of a small personalized group
(around 6 to 10) and with respect for both horse and rider, we
allow some freedom of movement not found in nose to tail rides.
This enhances the enjoyment of the ride for our guests, as well
as benefiting our horses by helping them stay responsive. |
| Saddle up for an
exceptional horseback riding adventure. Ride alongside cowboys that
carry on western traditions and heritage. Enjoy riding a gentle,
responsive horse from the Nelson Ranch. Head for the high country
on a 2, 3, or 4 day all inclusive horseback adventure, and ride
across open meadows filled with a dazzling array of wildflowers.
Meander through silent, shady pine forests, and crest high ridges
for a breathtaking view of the Rocky Mountains. Check
out the schedule. |

Each day will be spent exploring different scenic trails, rich
with a diversity of landscapes & history. With consideration
to your comfort level, we do have some flexibility to the amount

Cattle
Drives are scheduled for the first part of June, end of July and
end of September. These are energetic cowboy rides, so some previous
riding experience is required. Join us on a traditional roundup
& cattle drive, as we move our cattle to greener pastures.
Each of these cattle drives can
be booked as a 3 or 4 day overnight riding package, with 2-3 days
of cattle gathering, driving, and herd check rides. For those
that come for 4 days, the last day is spent exploring the country
side, relaxing, and just enjoying the amazing scenery of the area.
